DM version initialization

Dear Consultants,

i'm using many inactive versions for DM and one active version which is 00

the problem is: to make sure that the active version is clear from old PIRs before copy the new demand to the active version

i have to initilize (clear) the version.

how to clear the active DM version ?

and the same i'm using many inactive versions for SOP (planning versions)

and the same problem is how to clear the SOP planning version?

maybe my logic is wrong,

but i'm trying to avoid any unwanted data that existing in the active version (PIR) before copy from inactive version

any suggestions...
