EWM : WPT and destination data determination issue

Dear All,

We have an issue while working for inbound strategy for putaway in EWM. System dies not considers value in material master while determining WPT and destination storage type/bin.

Like WPT is not determined when maintained for the combination of Document Type - INB and Process type indicator.

WPT maintained only for document type is determined every time.

Similarly search strategy is not determined when maintaineed for the combination of WPT and putaway control indicator.

The values in material master are not considered, due to which cannot change strategy and WPT for different materials.

Please suggest the solution so that we can determine WPT and destination data according to our requirement.

Hi,

when indeed no WPT is found when there is no entry for the document type alone - I would open a ticket, because this is not what should happen.

But I have noticed that the product in the screenshot for the creation of the WT is "EWMMATN301-04@EC4400", while the warehouse product says "EWMATN301-04". The first name looks like you have activated some enhancement to extend the product name with source information - but are you sure you are looking into the correct warehouse product?

If yes, your settings look right.

Your point is correct, but I only maintain the product as EWMMATN301-04, system automatically puts @EC4400.

I was thinking that as @EC4400, is maintained automatically, this should not cause any issue.

Sorry, now what can be the reason of changing material code.

Is this anything to do with my system version

and two ECC systems are integrated with EWM system.

You screenshot shoes the determination of the WPT V003 for the document type INB and for the combination of INB and the indicator V3 – so where is the issue?

- When I do not maintain the entry for INB - WPT V003 is not determined. So, I maintained to check that other settings are ok,

If I only maintain for combination of INB and the indicator V3 - system determines WPT, what ever value is maintained for Doc Type -INB

Different WPT should be determined according to the values in material master.

If I do not maintain for INB, then I will not be able to show the error for search sequence

I want WPT and strategy determined according to the values maintained in the material master, which is not happening.

Like in search strategy, V002 and V002 are maintained for WPT, then only these got determined

and not for the combination of WPT and Putaway control indicator in material master.

I tried for various combinations before raising the issue.

Entries are maintained in optimization, Please have the screen shot and help to get the expected response.

OK, your settings look ok. When if it really happens that if you do not create a WPT determination just for the document type no WPT is found, that should be enough to open a ticket.

Then you write that the system does not find a storage type sequence.

Have you maintained the entry for “Optimize Access Strategy for Storage Type Search: Putaway”? And the blank entry just for the warehouse number is not helpful at all. I guess the system finds this one because the optimization is not maintained.
