does transfer order has info on PO

Hi Experts,

I have a question about transfer order(TO)? Is there anyway to retrieve the PO information from the TO item level? We need it later to determine the vendor of this PO.

Best regards,

    Hi, Jürgen,

it is a kind of transfer from one warehouse to another warehouse after the items have been received and the items are purchased from outside. So it is not the first Goods Receipt transfer anymore (MIGO). Are there any other possibilities?

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Yes, the only way to differentiate stock of one material, supplied by different vendors, is batch management. If you create a separate batch per each single supplier, then the batch used in the transfer posting between the plants will indicate the goods supplier.

are you talking about WM transfer order?

If so, the first transfer order for putaway will usually have the PO number as source bin (if you use dynamic bins for GR interim storage type)

further is has the material document number, and the material document (if it is a 101 movement) has the vendor number.
