User that processes Inbound-IDocs in R/3 backend

Hi everybody,

we are sending a large amount of IDOCs to our R/3.

After the IDOCs are received by the R/3 the inbound processing starts.

We wonder why we see in SM50 the SAP XI User processing the IDOCs.

As Inbound-Idoc processing is asynchronous, I wonder why the system displays the SAP XI User? I think the message processing from a XI point of view is finished, when the IDOCs are delivered.

On the other hand we wonder if there is something wrong with our inbound-function modules. Which user does the R/3 use, to process the inbound-modules?

Hi,

as the IDOCs are processed immediately the R/3 uses the user that posted the IDOCs. In our case it was the PI, so the RFC-PI user was used.

if you used run by scheduled job in WE20

and if you put the XI user in SM35/SM36 (job definition) as a user for execution

then you will see XI user processing the idocs
