Copy solution manager server to a new server. (client copy)

Hi ,

We have a Sloution manager installet on a server and we want to take a copy of that and have it on a new server.

I am new on sap and I know it is possible to move Solman from a server to another one.

can some one give me advises?

SSM = SAP Solution Manager... or at least it is what I meant

Hi David,

I did fundt out what you meant and thanks for help agin, du you know where can I find some document for configure the maintenance optimizer. Where can I start to use SSM.

As you see I am very new on SSM.

It depends, is SSM already installed on the server you want to copy to?

If so, you can perform a remote client copy using transaction SCC9 (rfc connection between systems should already be setup).

If not you can either install a new SSM and the perform step 1 after you finish installation, or you can make a db export which you import while installing the new SSM.

Thanks for fast reply, I have not installed SAP Strategy Management (SSM) on my new server yet,

do you know where can i find some material about how can I install ssm and make a db export.
