Key Code Not Working

I have just received downloaded xCelsius Present 8.0 to my ne wcomputer and retreived the key code from SAP. I installed the program and then tried to sign in using the Key COde. The code would not work. Apparently, it did not have enough characters because the "Next" button stayed greyed out until I added 3 spaces. After adding the spaces, I could click next, but I got a message saying it was invalid. I contacted SAP and they said they verified the Key Code and it was valid. They suggested I reinstall xCelsius and try again, but i thought I would see if anyone knew of another solution first. I can still sign on and use the software as a trial.

thanks.

Your problem may be solved by the following forum.

Xcelsius 2008 - Invalid Keycode Error message

    To do a regedit:

    1. Start > Run > u201CREGEDIT.EXE

    2. When the Registry Editor comes up go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0

    3. Now at the top of the page click Edit > Permissionsu2026

    4. Make sure that u201CFull Controlu201D and u201CReadu201D are both checked. Click OK.

If you still see the problem, perhaps it still has the old key code in the registry. I had this problem.

When you follow the steps above to get to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0 you should see a license key Can you tell me if you see your current key or is it an older one? If you see an older, please remove it and replace it with the new one. To replace just write it over with your new key.
