Hi all ,

I have an query on job monitoring ,please let me know if the job not running in managed system then we need an alert ,which capabilitiy is need to select or how to achieve this.

What is the version of solman and managed system for you? if I assume ERP and Solman 7.2 then you can implement

Unified Job Monitoring functionality of solman

this will help you to monitor the jobs in your ERP/BW/CRM etc. system centrally on solman.

Remember you have lot of KPIs provided by SAP for job monitoring(click for config guide) like Failed Jobs or Job not started etc. which can give the answer that job has not run at scheduled time or it got failed etc.

Hello,

in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 you can find Job Monitoring in transaction SM_SETUP under Application Operations.

Setup is quite straight forward:

1. Configure infrastructure
2. Select system in scope
3. Select job to be monitored (be careful with variations and/or use wildcards)
4. Initial setup is for monitoring of failed job
