Cheque Reversal - FCH8

I am reversing a cheque through tcode FCH8,

I am getting an error, " Reversal Reason 01 only permits posting date 07.09.2009.

The payment document is of posting date 07.09.2009.

I want to cancel the cheque payment in current period.

Kindly help to reverse the cheque in the current period.
