Capacity Evaluation by Work Center Hierarchy - Long Term Planning (LTP)

Experts,

I need to know how to evaluate Capacity situation (available v/s required) for a set of Work Centers. I'm thinking of using Work Center Hierarchies, but will that give me a combined view of the Capacity situation?

Once I've run the Flexible Planning (SOP), I transfer the forecasts as Inactive PIR's to Long Term Planning (LTP). Need is to run a simulation MRP, apply the existing Production Orders, Open Stocks & be able to evaluate the Capacity situation @ a group of work centers in one go.

I want to know how, using Work Center Hierarchy can this be done.
