Making fields mandatory

Hi Gurus,

I want to make fields mandatory such as doc. header text , reference in F-02 for all doc. types . So that I can get reports using these fields. Can anybody tell me how can I do (making these fields mandatory) by using SPRO.

Hi,

if the fields are available in the field status group assigned to account master data you can make it mandatory by setting it as a "required entry". Caution: every acc. number using this field status group has this field as a mandatroy entry, maybe you have to define add. fiels status groups for only a few accounts where this required entry is necessary.

In Customizing it can be found by searching for "field status variants" which contains all the "filed status groups". The variants are assigned to each company code.

For. ex. I want to post telephone. exp. Here I choose doc. type SA . Then I want to make doc. header text field mandatory where I can write the user who used telephone and also reference where I can put telephone no. I want to make these fields mandatory for all type of doc. types. Please help me out. Like when I choose doc. type zp,dz the reference field is mandatory. I want to do the same for Doc. type SA and others . I also want to make doc. header text mandatory . Please help me in detail.

In the t-code OBA7 we can find the document types, selctect the document you want to make document header text mandatory

Suppose Document type is SA

double click on it, in that we can find the Required during document entry, select the REF number and Document header text

your problem wil sove
