SSO is not working with WIndosAD authentication after upgrade from 4.2 sp2 to 4.2 sp6

0 Kudos

i have upgraded from SAP BO 4.2 SP 2 to 4.2 SP 6 and earlier the SSO was configured with Windows AD authentication and was working properly without any issue. But, after the upgrade it has stopped working and there is no option of authentication when I am trying to login With BI Launch Pad and I am doing this in Internet Explorer.

What are the things that are required to configure SSO, tomcat after perrforming the upgrade to 4.2 SP 6?

Thanks In advance

Mayank

I've setup KBA https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/preview/en/2629070 fine on 4.2 SP6. If you cannot figure out which part is broken possibly reconfiguring from scratch might be needed.

have you taken the backup of all customized files in tomcat folder before upgrade? if yes then have you replaced the files again after upgrade?

BIlaunchpad.properties and global.properties files under the custom folder? Path is Tomcat directory\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom

Tomcat Directory\conf\server.xml file.

Do i need to place these BIlaunchpad.properties and global.properties under the directory of Tomcat directory\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom.

And what are the changes that are required

Tomcat Directory\conf\server.xml file.

Amit Kumar I tried to login with BI launchpad But I am not able to see authentication option in BI Launchpad in SAP BO 4.2 sp 6.

Can you please suggest me the steps by which I can configure the authentication option or this is a defect with SAP BO 4.2 SP 6..

Create file “BIlaunchpad.properties” at BO Install directory\Tomcat6\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom

Add following in to file using Notepad editor

authentication.visible =true

authentication.default= secWinAD

What do you mean by same issue? Mayank issue is he did not have backup copy of custom files which he supposed to take before upgrade.In this case he has to manually update the SSO steps.
