Exit for stop document in COPA

Hi,

Is there any exit in COPA as I can block some rules creating a new document in COPA.

How can I do this?

HI,

From which module (FI, SD,..) you want to prevent posting happening to CO-PA?

@Eli,

Did you use this enhancement to prevent a posting from happening to CO-PA?

As per my understanding, enhancement 'COPA0005' can intervene at the time of updation of actual data into CO-PA (meaning helps in manipulating the updation and not preventing), and as such cannot prevent a posting to CO-PA from happening. SAP note # 185826 for more info on this enhancement.

No, I do not imply that the document should be prevented by this user-exit, though it's possible Actually, 'preventing' a document from posting contradicts the whole idea of ERP. Alternatively, with this user-exit, the alledeged document can be modified and 'diverted' to the required attributes.

I need to avoid the release coming from SD since the time of costing planned for some types of documents SD.

Hi,

I did not quite understand your scenario as to why you want to prevent the posting to CO-PA.

From SD you can't prevent a particular posting to CO-PA.

You may want to consider some work arounds like using KE4W to reset value/quantity fields for specific billing types after COPA document is posted.

Is the revenue GL created as a revenue element of category '11'/'12'?

Hope this helps.

Pradeep kumar,

There are some scenarios such as sucada that create documents without COPA, as the company is not part of the analysis result. Here we have other sales scenarios that are not examined as a result of the COPA. With this possible solution to avoid swelling the table of COPA, winning performance at the time to run the report.

HI,

You can actually use enhancement 'COPA0005' and enhancement 'EXIT_SAPLKEII_001' to prevent posting for certain documents.

You need to check parameter 'E_INIT' = 'X' in this exit for documents which you don't want to post to CO-PA. Refer SAP note # 397298. I've tried this and it is working for me.

Hope this helps.

Hi Sergio,

You can try using COPA0005 user-exit.
