Inspection Types

Hi,

I am preparing a new inspection type in the inspection type in the Activity List, and then when I fill in the data to save, the system reports an error. How can I complete the creation of the inspection type?

Dear Yujiang,

Inspection types are provided by SAP only you cannot create it explicitly, hence the error is caused.

You can use the default Inspection Types delivered by SAP. There are 7 types available:

1. Receiving inspection - supplier delivery
2. In-process inspection – production
3. Receiving inspection - first article
4. Receiving inspection - customer return
5. Receiving inspection - stock transfer
6. Final inspection – production
7. Final inspection - customer shipment

There are 7 default types that can be added according to your method, but I will get the same error when I add several other untyped types to the inspection type. So how should I add an inspection type?

Dear Daniel,

You would not be able to add any new inspection type, System will not allow you to do so. Here system allows only to maintain decision code by selecting appropriate Inspection types.

Hi Daniel,

You have to use the system defined inspection types as we cannot map the custom inspection types to the quality scenarios.
