Key date in inspection lot

Hi,

Inspection lot gets created automatically when GR is performed for a material. We have maintained inspection plan for the material, however the key date in the inspection specification tab is 04.03.2009 for all the inspection lots of the particular material / plant.

I would like to know how this key date is determined automatically by the system. I checked the inspection plan, but found nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

1.Please check the validity date of Inspection plan in inspection plan header(at the bottom)

you can check this in MAPL table also

2.Also check that is material is with revision number.If yes the when rev was uploaded.

3.check when material master was created.In MARA rable you will gate date of creation.

The problem was with the material revision, which had a validity of 04.03.2009. Because of this, the key date of all inspection lots is that.

The key date for the inspection lot is usually teh creation date of the inspection lot.

How were these lots created that you are talking about? It would be unusual for them all to be the same unless they were created as part of a go-live load. The other possibility is you have a user exit being used to do something and for some reason they are changing the key date field.

The key date can be manually changed at anytime.
