A004 relationship

Hi,

I got an error for positions relationships.

We need to end date the A004 realtionship for all positions.

Through PO13 position, A004 relationship need to end the record.When we are changing the record end date it is giving the error message Historical record already created and showing in display mode.

Can anyone help me to solve this issue.

May I know why we user tcode RE_RHGRENZ2?

what is the use of RHGRENZ1?

Position which I am trying to end date are still active and we didnt delimt them then why the error historical record already created error is coming?

I dont want to delimit the position.I want to delimit the A004 relationship for the position which is not allowing us to do and giving a message historical record already created.

Hi,

Select A004 relation and select Delimit button. It will delimit only that relationship.

It is delimiting all the relationships not only a004.

Can you explain clearly step by step with check boxes.Because I never did this and I feel somewhere i am missing in doing.

Hi,

Follow the below step, it should be easy. It will delimit only the selected relationship.

> Select relevent position, Tcode PO13

> Select time period radio button "All"

> Select Relationship infotype

> Select Overview button "Shift+F8"

> Select relevant relationship to be delimited

> Select delimit button

> Change the end date

> Select delimit button again

Run report RE_RHGRENZ4.

Plan version 01

Object type S

Object id : ID of your position

Reporting period : All

New end date : Delimition date you desire

Infotype : 1001

Subtype : A004

Existing end date : 31.12.9999

Hist rec - unclicked

Delete rec - unclicked

Change/delete subseq rec - unclicked

Lock objects - clicked

Display delimit objects - clicked.

Test - first clicked, if no error occurs, unclicked.

Thanks for your response.

My problem is solved for temparory purpose.Now I have another question with this.We have this issue with all the relations for some positions and not all positions.

How do we findout for which positions relationships the message historical record already created is occuring?

How do we prevent this in future positons creation so that it doesnt occur again?

Can anyone help me please.

Hi,

To find all historical records, go to SE16 - HRP1001. OTYPE = S HISTO field does not equal to blank.

Historical record is created as follows:

PO13 - Relationships - Delimit : If you select the "Historical record" checkbox and delimit this way, that entry is marked as "Historical record" and cannot be changed afterwards.

If you let the end users know about this process, you may prevent them from doing the same in the future.

Hi USHA,

The probelm may be because of dependent relation ships, for Example for 0004 relation ship (Sub ordinate) it is a relation ship between two positons , when we delimit that , the corresponding relation ship with persons for that positions also should be delimited.So Make sure that when we delimiting one relation ship , corresponding relation ships shold be delimited.

Hi,

Dont directly change the end date. Try to use the delimit option.
