No Orders/Production versions assigned to product cost collector

HI All ,

The issue is for a newly set up plant . For materials in the plant , there were production orders . But if we enter any material in KKF6N and click on orders/Pv ,System is displaying error "No Orders/Production versions assigned to product cost collector". can anyone guide what does this mean and how to rectify this .I dont have much exposure on controlling area.

This is very urgent issue and desperately looking for solution
