Hello Team,
Would like to know how to configure and setup PAM(idm) for SAP systems which are not managed with Active Directory groups permissions.
Is there any other IDM software available for this feature.
Kindly advise.
Hi Mukun,
what else do you need? Your question was answered be me when I supplied the link to the SAP product called "SAP Identity Management".
This is the solution that you will need: it allows to manage user-IDs for SAP systems as well as MS-AD and other non-SAP software. It is not managed by MS-AD, but it can (optionally) connect to MS-AD und use this e.g. as a storage place for user-attributes. But other storage place/databases are also supported.

Hi Mukun,
please specify in more detail: what do you exactly mean when asking "how to configure and setup PAM(idm) "!
- What exactly is "PAM(idm)" ?!? Is this a non-SAP system?
In general: SAP Identity Management is the preferred product to handle identity and access management for SAP and non-SAP systems. Please see here for more info: https://www.sap.com/products/identity-management.html

Mukun, there are several IdM solutions out there which can provision to SAP, apart from SAP IdM. SailPoint, Dell Identity Manager, Tivoli, PAM are just a few.
Configuration of them is normally fairly simple, but is different for each product, although the concepts are all very similar.
You can integrate them all with active directory - it's all down to your system landscape and your processes

Thanks Kris for your quick reply. PAM is a Microsoft idm solution integrated with Active Directory.
I would like to know, how to implement either PAM or someother solution for systems which are not managed by Active Directory.
If there is anyother idm solution which can go with SAP, Siemens, Active Directory is also fine.
Kindly advise.
