Post to Returns stock with movement type 632

Hi all,

I have configured SD Customer Consignment for my client. When consignment goods come back from the customer Movement Type 632 is used en the goods are posted in unrestricted use. My client want these goods to be posted in the Returns stock. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Movement type 651 posts to the Returns stock. Where is teh actual setting made that this movement type posts to Return stock. Can anyone explain to me how this works.

Thanks in advance.

You are not supposed to touch the MOVEMENT types of Consignment process

The whole Consignment process is controlled by movement types only

After the stock comes in , with movement type 632 you are supposed to do transfer postings according to your requirement

In MB1B you have movement type 454 for this

Changing the movement type in schedule line category for Consignment process will damage the whole process which you will understand by testing

Thanks for your reply. That was what I was afraid of. I want to be able to make a posting from Consignment stock automatically to Returns or to normal Blocked Stock nd not first to Unrestricted with 632 and after that a manual MIGO posting with Mvt 454.

If any other suggestions exist, then they are very welcome.

    As you know-

Mov type will be triggered from teh Sch.Line Category-

632 Mov type copied in delivery from F0-Sch.line Cat ,which is consignment pick up.

    for Consignment returns , sch.line cat:D0 & Mov type:634.

Intially when you post the stock @ Customer, Inventory shows as "Customer Consignment stock" with special stock indicator in Item Cat:KRN - W=Customer consignment.

I have not tested- so try changing the mov type in Sch.line cat D0.

    & revert.

    • Have tested your scenario- Just now.

Though you can change the mov type in sch.line cat, but it acts like as normal return scenario, so you will be loosing the track of Inventory available @ Customer as part of Consignment.

Still, if you change the mov type, you will not be able to perform PGR for Consignment Returns in VL01N,its becasue that, special stock indicator-W in item cat:VOV7.

Sales doc type - Item cat -- SCh.line Cat- Mov type

      Consig Fillup - KB -

      KBN -

      E1/E0 - 631

      Consig.Issue -KE--

      C1/C0- 633

      F1/F0- 632

Check the schedule line in VOV6. For the Schedule line (I think it will be F0) you can change the movement type.

In fact movement type 632 is used to take back the goods from your warehouse. Here quality will not come into picture and hence, there is no need to change any settings. Only in case of customer returns (that is material despatched from warehouse but returns directly to delivering plant), you should think of QI.
