Same item with different grade and price and and inventory with different grade in the warehouse

Hi,

Please give me the solution for the below scenario:-

We have a item with same name but with different grade with different price.Can i show stock with different grades in the inventory stock. How to to create the item master data for it.

Hi

If for same item you need to manage different grade then you can use batch property from item master data where each batch represent different grade. each batch will have its own quantity and other properties.

however you can not maintain price for different batches.

Hi,

Depending on how many different grades you need to distinguish between, one possibility is to setup a separate warehouse for each grade. This will allow you to maintain separate stocks and cost prices for each grade.

For sales prices, again depending on how many different grades you need to distinguish between, one possibility is to setup a price list for the default grade, and then separate price lists for each different grade. These other price lists you could then base on the default grade price list with appropriate multipliers. So for example:

• Price list Low Grade = [Price list Default Grade] x 0.8
• Price list Default Grade = [Price list Default Grade] x 1
• Price list High Grade= [Price list Default Grade] x 1.2

You can use solution as Mr. Ranu recommended for pricing you can have multiple price list but updating of price in price list will be manual .
