How can I make a Z table UN-UPDATEABLE in other systems?

Hello friends,

A Z table was created by someone in the development environment. The table was populated with data using SM30. The whole thing (table def. and its data) was subsequently transported to Q&A environment.

However, I can still use SM30 in Q&A to modify the data. My task is to make this table updateable in the development area ONLY. That is, the data must first be modified in the dev. area and then transported to other environments.

Any idea as to how to achieve this?

Hi,

On the table maintainance generator screen; there is a radiobutton for Recording routine.

Use the Standard recording routine and once again regenarte the table maintainance generator.

Please note that incase table maintainance generator is regenereated any modification made for validations on the sreen or in the program of the table maintainance generator will be lost. So please ensure a back of teh same before making any modification.
