Hi Experts,
has TREX some kind of OCR-Functionality? Is it possible to activate indexing for TIFF, JPEG etc.?
Thanks a lot!
Bastian is absolutely correct - there is no OCR in TREX.
Possibilities:
- Use OCR before ever entering the indexing, write the picture and the OCRed text as a long text attribue into one PDF and have the attribute included in your full-text search, IF the TREX scenarion we are talking about allows this. In e.g. the Portal's KM this should be possible for all I know.
- Use TREX Python extensions to exit the indexing process, use OCR behind the exit and then resubmit to the indexing process. But this may require some work and I personally can only tell you that it should be possible and has been done before, but I do not have the details how...
Best, Karsten

Hi there.
I´m pretty usre, there is no OCR functionality (yet)...
TREX can index pictures by their filename, author, date of creation and so on.
regards, Bastian
