Find Open Number for new WBS element

Hi Gurus,

I am using Standard WBS template to create new WBS element in CJ20N, drag and paste. The system doesn't pop up a "Find Open Number" screen to propose next available WBS emelemnt number, while suggesting to "replace" the WBS template number.

Is that possible to get "Find Open Number" function back when using Std template?

Thanks

JM

Hi Jason,

What I understood from your question is that you are creating a WBS element by dragging & dropping std. WBS in an already created project. Based on the coding mask defined, system will automatically assign the WBS no. where you need to only enter the description and I don't think any pop-up will come for WBS creation as such...

Bala

Yes, what I am trying to do is to add new WBS element to existing project. If drag and paste a WBS element from "individual objects", the system searches for next available #, which is good. However, if drag and paste a WBS element from "Standard WBS elements", the search function is not availble. In stead, it suggests to replace Std WBS number with the existing project #. Users have to manually check which number is next available. My question is: can we get the seach number function back? and how?

Hope I have described my problem clearly.
