Hungarian character incorrect in smartform

Hi all,

We have a smartform with standard text ( created in language HU) with paragraph format with font family 'TIMES' . This text is Helyesbítõ számla but the spool output shows Helyesbít# számla.

Please help what could be the problem.

Regards,

Garima.

Hi,

The issue was resolved by using Standard text created in HU language and making use of Courier Font.

Thanks,

Garima.

Hi,

This is very common problem. You might be using a pronter which is not supporting the Hungarian characters. Change the printer to some Hungarian printer (You can get it from your BASIS team) and see the preview. It works fine.

Thanks,

Vinod.

It means that the character is not defined in the code page (of the device type of the output device), so it can't be translated, so it is replaced with #.

You have to change the output device: choose another device type. For example, you may use I2SWIN for frontend printing, which use Latin-2 code page (1406).

Note: As you can see in SCP transaction, this code page contains characters U0150 and U0151, respectively capital and small letter O with double acute accent, which are translated into D5 and F5.
