Queue mechanism on sending idoc from SAP ECC to MII

Former Member

Hi,

We redirected idoc from SAP ECC system to MII. It works properly when MII is running and no problem with SAP ECC - MII communication.

If there is communication problem or MII is down:

Is it possible SAP ECC system to preserve idoc?

And is it possible to send idoc automatically when connection established to MII system?

If possible how?

Thanks.

If ECC cannot sent IDocs to your MII, those IDocs will be stored in the Transactional RFC queue (tran SM58). You can schedule a job to periodically resend IDocs that got stuck there. Usually there should already be jobs defined to do reprocess the queue.

Hi,

I tested it does not store in SM58 queue when MII is disconnected.

BD87 says idoc already sent with green flag.

Thanks

You may want to check to see if the failed IDocs are stored in ECC and if you could create a rule there to process them periodically until they are successful. May be you could schedule a periodic job in ECC to do this. I have done it before but not for failed IDocs.
