Import technical systems from PROD to DEV

Hi Experts,

We are working on SAP PO 7.5 system with 4 environments[DEV, QA, PRE-PROD, PROD] .

PRE-PROD & PROD technical systems are absent in SLD of Development system whereas those technical systems present in both Pre-Prod & Prod environments. We would like to export those technical systems from SLD of PRE-PROD & PROD and then import it to SLD of Development system. Please let me know whether we can do this? Is it acceptable?

You can if required. But why you need to import from PROD to DEV.

Because the technical system objects of PRE-PROD/PROD systems are absent in DEV but technical system objects of PROD & other 3 environments are present in PROD SLD hence importing from PROD to DEV to avoid any human error. Please let me know if any precautions to be taken regarding the same.

In SLD, go to Administartion. There you will find import/export option.

You can export technical systems as tpz/zip file and import the same in your desired env.

I knew the way to import/export but my specific question was can we import to DEV from QA/PROD rather than general way to import to QA/PROD from DEV?
