Not able to attach Configurable material to Activity in a Network

Hi ALL

I am trying to attach a configurable component /material to an activity in a Project Network.

But it is giving an error that No configuration profile exists although I have aleady maintianed the same for that configurable material

Can anyone guide to me on this

Hi,

Use None in BOM Explosion in Config Initial screen for this material in CU42.

Thanks for your quick answer, It has worked. Now i am able to attach the configurable material to an activity

Another thing how can i view the results of this material Configuration in Project Builder screen

Also since we have ticked None in BOM how BOM will be copied or configured?

Hi,

While you attach a config material you have select the various options and then you can see the requirement in MD04.

Also if you want to change the config parameters in CJ20N,Select the material and click extras -configuration-Characteristic value assignment.

Hello Muzamil,

I am able to view configurable material requirement in MD04.

But this configurable material is have BOM and child items

So dependent requirements for these child items are not visible in MD04.

Hi,

You need to run MRP for this Material then only Planned orders/PRs will be created.
