Hi,

You may wish to review the following SAP notes:

Note 71353 - Transports hang during background steps

Note 690449 - Transport buffer lock file (.LOB) remains blocked on Windows

I have also seen the .LOB file issue on UNIX where the transport buffer lock file (<SID>.LOB) remains locked by the operating system.

Check in /usr/sap/trans/tmp for the presence of a file called .LOB

Hi Priyanka,

Check the following if they are all ok.

1. Any file system full ,particularly /usr/sap/trans, /usr/sap/SID/<Instance>/work or /sapmnt/global

2. Check Tp connect command. Are you able to connect to database.

3. Check if you have free background processes while doing the transport and Check your spooler consistency with report RSPO1043 or sp12.

If every thing is ok.Kill tp for that particular transport, delete enteries from tables TRJOB and TRBAT and try running again.

Regards

Amit

Run an SP12 check. I also came across the same error here -> [Error at DB commit|http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-basis/error-at-db-commit-return-code-001024-1317561]

Was that transport maybe created by a newer release than 4.6c?

Hello Priyanka,

look at the log you posted, the problem is not strictly related to transport system

Check the fill level of file sytems, maybe you have a full file system
