Dummy Profit Center

Hi All

In my companies we still have 4.7 version of sap with report based on profit center accounting. Now we are facing problem that when we are posting MIRO the cenvat & Vat line item are getting posted to Dummy Profit Center.

Can some one tell us what can be the reason of it.

Hello,did you manage to get profit center recorded for VAT accounts? I have similar issue: when I post billing with 2 material codes ( 2 profit centers ) i did not get VAT accounts posted in Profit Center Accounting with split values per both profit centers.When I run 1KEK it did not work.

I run program sapf180k - Redetermine adjustment accounts for BS adjustments via SE38 and I got error that this GL is a tax account and no adjustment can happen.

Error is:

Transaction GA2: Account 0215110000 is defined as a tax account

Message no. BL001

Please,share your practice and opinion how tax accounts get posted in PCA?

Hi,

For all the objects related to the MIRO posting - e.g. cost centres, internal orders, WBS elements, materials etc is the valid profit centre correctly maintained for the object. If a valid profit centre is missing in the related object you might be getting postings to the dummy profit centre.

Perhaps its some setting in new GL (possibly not sure whether it applies to your specific SAP system) thats causing this.

I have checked all the related objects are assigned to correct profit center.I am getting correct profit center on GR/IR line but not on input tax & cenvat Clearing a/c.

Please maintain the profit center in respective material master. From there it will derive the profit center

I have maintained profit center in material it is deriving profit center on GR/IR A/c but not in Input Tax & cenvat A/c.

Dear,

These items posted to dummy profit center becaue these line items have no profit cetners derived. In case where there is no profit center derived in the line items, system automatically derives dummy profit center maintained in 0KE5.

Use transaction 3KEH and maintain default profit center for CENVAT and VAT accounts may resolve your problem.

I have already maintained this GL in 3KEH & maintained Dummy Profit Center because we use same GL for all the profit center.& in 3KEI i have maintained the derivation rule also.

But the profit center is not getting derived.
