WBS/Activity Basic Date change

Dear All,

Our requirement is that in a project, the user should not be able to change the basic dates of any WBS/Activity after the project has been released.

In network scheduling parameters in "Adjust Dates", choose do not adjsut basic dates,reqmts to operation dates

In WBS scheduling parameters do not check the check box for "adjust basic dates".

The scheduling parameter configuration is an interesting option - however I have a feeling that it only applies to scheduled dates and not manually adjustment by users. Check it out though

Another option would be to set the date field as display only once the WBS is released - this can be achieved using BADI WORKBREAKDOWN_UPDATE. However this would mean taht you have to double check your scheduling configuration when the system tries to write the scheduling dates to the date field and throws error messages, then you might have to remove the adjust basic dates indicator as mentioned by Mahendra.

In addition to the above requirement the head of department should be able to change the dates of WBS/Activity even after the project is released.

Add authorisation in the same BADI or try exit CNEX0002

I guess this will work for WBS, will try.

But will the same BADI work for the Activities or do we need to do something more for the controlling dates for activities.
