Different Company codes same data.

Dear Gurus,

Conditon:- Both company codes has same identical customizing data ( Ex.. Actions, Wagetypes etc..) same client.

Can we use same data ( ex..Actions, Wagetypes, PD data) of one company code in to another company code or we need to create whole thing fresh. Already customizing data has been created for one company code, Can we use that company code customizing data in to new company code. Please guide me.

Did you find your answer? What did you finally do?

I'm interested to know as I too have the same scenario as you. It would be a relief to know that we can use existing one for company XXX and don't need to setup whole new wage type, pay scale, etc for the new company YYY.

Dear Ravi,

Consider the following :

- If actions are same - Use the same

- Wagetypes - Look at the applicability ( permissibility) of Wagetypes in companies.

- Take care of all the ESG & PSG Groupings ( accross companies)

You will have to work more on Authorizations (Role Based & Structural Authorizations) in such scenerios.

I would not use the same PD data, but create a separate structure for each company. One reason would be to separate access via structural authorization. Others would be company spefific data in HRP1008.

Customization can definetely be used across companies if requirements are the same.
