Can 0FI_GL_4 be used with New G/L? Is there a replacement DataSource?

Hi Gang,

I need to extract accounting document item data from the BSEG table in a ECC6 eviroment, using the new general ledger.

Can 0FI_GL_4 be used with New G/L? I

Is there a replacement DataSource?

I tried installing business content (all before) for 0FIGL_O14 General Ledger Accounting (New): Line Items , but only component InfoObjects were collected.

I would like to create an ODS using Fiscal Year, Company Code, accounting document and line item (Same keys as BSEG table) to catch the data in a landing area. Any risk to this approach if I use 0FI_GL_4/

If your ECC EHP3 or greater environment has been configured for the New GL Reporting, you're going to want to use 0FI_GL_14, and 3FI_GL_XX_SI if you use more than one leading ledger (XX is the non-leading ledger two-byte code), instead of 0FI_GL_4 for general ledger posting details (line items). The target for the data from the 0FI_GL_14 and 3FI_GL_XX_SI DataSources is 0FIGL_O14.

These DataSources are not exclusively sourced by BKPF and BSEG, as is the case for the 0FI_GL_4 DataSource. Instead, a new table is introduced with the New GL Reporting functionality. This new table is FAGLFLEXA. This new table is combined with data from BSEG to populate the new DataSources.

Has anyone worked on enhancement of 0FI_GL_4 to extract ledger specific data from those additional tables?

We have a scenario wherein one of the ECC instances is on ECC 5.0 thus we are not able to use 0FI_GL_14 even though new GL is implemented. If someone has worked on enhancement it would be helpful.
