Period work Schedule scenarios

Hi Gurus,

Pls give me ur valuable suggestion regarding to configure the given scenario of my cleint.

In a monthly schdule every second saturday is completely OFF and remaining saturday we have Half days.

Will I make DWS selection rule for this if yes then how?

Pls tell me in brief how to configure the above mentioned scenario.

Create your daily work schedule with completely off and Another one is Half Day.

then create your PWS as mentioned below

01 4-WK 4week Rotating Shift 001 DAY DAY DAY DAY DAY FREE DAY

01 4-WK 4week Rotating Shift 002 DAY DAY DAY DAY DAY FRE1 DAY

01 4-WK 4week Rotating Shift 003 DAY DAY DAY DAY DAY FREE DAY

01 4-wk 4week Rotating Shif 004 DAY DAY DAY DAY DAY FREE DAY

Yes Lalit,

You have to use selection rule for second saturday holiday and you have to call that selection rule in your daily work schedule. And you should not use variant while using selection rule in daily work schedule.

Just try it out and let me know.

Which selection rules u r talking about. Is it Day types selection rule or DWS selection rules.

If u r talking about DWS selection rules it is nothing but they are DWS variants. If I am wrong pls clarify me on this topic.

Hi, Lalit!

Maybe you can use the holiday configuration for this.

SCAL - Configuring 12 holiday's (with a fixed day from date), use another holiday class to distinguish from the other holidays.

V_T550A - Configure 2 work schedules with the same code, using the variant field (V_T550A-VARIA), 1 for the completly day off and the other with the half worked day.

V_T550X - Then, configure a variant rule in order to have the correct daily work schedule informed every 2th saturday.

Can any one give me the idea for defining the DWS variant for the give schedule.

every second saturday is a full day off and other saturday's in that month having Half day off.

Hi, Lalit.

In the view V_T550X do the following:

01) define how many variants there will exist, define the code (REGEL) and the sequence (SEQNO).

02) The field (FKLAS) checks the holiday class (the field you informed in the holiday configuration). Each space in this field represents the holiday class from 0 to 9. It mean if you want all the holiday class 4 and 6 be another variant, you need mark this holiday class with u201CXu201D in the spaces 5 and 6 (once the first number is "0").

03) The field Hol.cl.next day inform all the holiday class, once this is a configuration when a holiday occurs in the next day.

04) Weekday (WTAGE) youu2019ll mark the space 6.

05) Variant (VARIA) inform the variant you want assign (the one youu2019ve defined in V_T550A)

Why, Lalit?

The lower second saturday of the month will be the day 08 in the month. With the holiday configuration "With a fixed date from Date" and the fields "at earliest" configured, will not fill the 2 saturday for you?
