Assignment to valuation 2 (Profit Center Valuation) is not permitted

how will it resolve?

Dear,

Use transaction 8KEM and maintain a currency valuation profile with Profit Center Valuation in combination with currency type (Group currency) you use in 0KE5. Then assing this profile to your Controlling Area.

Once you have done this then use transaction 8KEP to activate currency valuation profile for your controlling area.

When i am using tcode 8KEP, getting following error:

No PCA valuation is defined in company code CD02

Message no. FAGL_LEDGER_CUST140

Diagnosis

No PCA valuation has been defined in company code CD02.

System Response

If classic General Ledger Accounting is active, the system only checks the Customizing settings of (classic) Profit Center Accounting.

If New General Ledger Accounting is active, the system first checks the Customizing settings of (classic) Profit Center Accounting. If (classic) Profit Center Accounting is not active, the system only checks the Customizing settings of New General Ledger Accounting. In all company codes of controlling area CD02, the PCA valuation must then be set in the currency specified in the currency and valuation profile.

Valuation CD02 2 missing from controlling area

Diagnosis

The valuation in controlling area CD02 is incorrect.

To achieve consistent settings of the valuations, you must meet the following requirements:

You have created a currency and valuation profile and assigned them to the controlling area.

For each of the maximum three valuations in the valuation profile

Legal valuation

Group valuation

Profit center valuation

there is precisely one actual version.

This actual version is neither a delta version for Activity-Based Costing, neither is it used exclusively.

The system established one of the following during the check:

The actual version is missing for at least one valuation: 2

There are several actual versions with the same valuation:

Procedure

Correct the error and enter consistent settings for the valuation.

Maintain Profit Center Valuation for the same currency in OB22 for 2nd local currency. Then try,,,

I am doing PCA in new GL first time. so can you give me step by step procedure for this.

What are the required steps for activating PCA in new GL??
