Limitation for creating models on C4C Analytics connections?

Hi experts,

we are currently trying to re-create a data model from SAP Cloud for Service according to the following documentation: https://help.sap.com/viewer/66e9a9081a7b40e38c8604d6617d0311/1808/en-US/fae295bbb8c54f14ab5a559a04ed...

However, when creating a model based on the OData connection for certain data sources, we get the error 'Request Entity Too Large' after a very long waiting time (several hours). Hence my question; what is the limit for data source sizes when imported into a SAC model via a Cloud for Customer Analytics connection?

Thank you for your aid!

Best regards, Lars.

Hi Lars,

in my experience, from using similar odata connectors for other solutions like SFSF, i found that "chunks" of about 4000 rows with about 20-40 columns was about the sweet spot for me.

I found it OK for my purposes to schedule different slices of data. That way you can load and append multiple shots to the model, in sequence.

Best of luck

Thank you Henry, Gregorio,

further research pointed out that for the connection between Analytics Cloud and C4C Analytics is 800.000 per OData connection (which in this scenario means per Data source). We had a discussion with a few SAP experts and concluded that it is best for us to wait for the live connection (expected not earlier than Q3 2019).
