Where is "Effect" field available in the notification

Dear Experts,

Where is the effect filed is available in the notification, in which tab it is there. In table level it is showing in QMIH-AUSWK, but not able to see in notification tab. In IW28 it is present but in IW21 or IW22 it is not showing. I have check for malfunction report M2 here also it is not there in any tab. Do we need to activate anything else to display in IW21?

Hi,

Effect is "Effect of the problem or malfunction on the operation of the affected system", so whenever we get breakdown on technical object(FL/Equipment) to have better root cause analysis we need to input effect data in notification.

For all breakdowns where we can update effected Functional location or Equipment and related effect due to main equipment breakdown.

You have to activate tab : 10\TAB04 - System availability for your notification type

and Configuration for effect can be done as shown below :

Hi Minaj,

Effect is available in System Availability Tab in Notification.Also make sure that you have maintained screen area 031 in Screen Structure for Extended View for the notification type in your configuration to get the description field.

Below is the available at SPRO path:

SPRO --> Quality management --> Quality notification --> Notification creation --> Notification type --> Define screen template --> Define screen area & tab --> Select your QN type & click on extended view --> Select tab & go in details --> As suggested by Gajesh "031" screen should be here under "screen area" tab.

If memory serves me correctly the effect field is a part of the system availability screen area. One of your analysts in IT should be able to go into your configuration and add that screen area to one of your tabs on the notification transaction set if it is not already visible.
