SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport when activ adobe Print Form

Hi

I am trying to activate an Adobe Print Form, but I am getting the error "SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport: HTTP send failed with exception communication_failure(100.101)".

I have searched the forum and can see several thread stating that this is a ADS Configuration/Basis error, but when we try to execute the test report it works just fine, so I am guessing the ADS is working quite fine, or ?

Any help / hints to fix this error will be very appreciated

Regards

Hi again

Our basis team solved the issue. As I could understand it was something about the configuration of the service "/default_host/sap/bc/fp" or "/default_host/sap/bc/fpads" in SICF.

Thanks for your help and input Otto

Looks like a credentials problem. If standard works fine and customer form not, that is what I would check the credentials. Otto

Hi Otto

Do we need thoose if we just want to create a Print Form ? - I have checked the note 736902 and note 944221, and according to these notes you only need the credentials if you are using the interactive functionality of the adobe forms.

A year back I have experienced the same behaviour of my forms which were very large (30 pages at design time). After some time (number of changes I guess) they stopped working. I had to start all over from the last backup (that was few days ago once, what is a lot of work lost).

Why I would now do is:

1) copy your form and try to activate the copy

2) create a new form with the same interface, create some dummy layout with one field and try to activate

3) do you have any older version of this form? Or you´ve created it just now and this is the first activation? if you have an older one, try that one

Hi

Thanks for the hint, but this is in fact the first "dummy" form in the system. We are starting with at smal "proof of concept" on our sandbox system, so it only contains 2 text fields (char20).

I have tried to copy it, but it gives me an "Internal error Occured in SAFP API".

I have also tried to re-activate one of the standard forms, the HR_CN_TAX0, and that works just fine.

So, these reports work ok at the SAME time when you cannot activate your form (in second window)? This problem appears when the Java is down or being restarted or something like that. And you´re sure you test all that in one client and on the same ADS?

Hi Otto

We have checked the Java Stack, and it up and running, we have tested the webservice as well, and it was also ok, we have also checked the client and the connections again and thay are ok ... MAybe we need to create an OSS message for this

Hello,

please provide information about what tests you have tried.

At least you need to run FP_TEST_00 and especially FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE with the checkbox on (true).

Hi Otto

Sorry about that - and yes it is the FP_TEST_00 report I meant, it ran ok. We have also tried the FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE with the checkbox on, it was also ok.
