Hi
Situation: We have a Cash Discount which we post through a Journal entry where in the Cash Discount GL Account is created as a CE Category 12 and system updates amount in a Cash Discount Value field . At this stage the COPA Characteristics are Profit center (Say : 9999 - A Default Profit center to create COPA Segment and if we do not provide a Profit center, system defaults to DUMMY Profit center in the line item and as a characteristic in COPA line item)
Profit center Cash Discount value field
9999 100
Requirement: We would like to perform a Distribution of the above cost to all the Profit centers, Customers and Products that we sold during the month.
PC Customer Product Revenue
1000 X1 Y1 1000
2000 X2 Y1 1000
1000 X3 Y2 1000
3000 X4 Y1 1000
What i have done : In KE28 T code,
In Actual Data, I used the Period, Record Type as B.
In Reference Data, I used Period and Record Type as F and Actual Data.
In Reference Base, I used Sales Revenue in Single value field.
Processing Instructions : Customer, Product in DLvL fields, In Cpy : Company code, CO Area, Business Area and Profit Center all remaining characters as Sum.
Selection Criteria : All the fields as *
Value fields : Selected the cash discount Value field.
Issue: I was not able to perform a Distribution in the above case and system is not showing any line items.
Observation : If I post the Journal entry with a PC of 1000 and perform the same above steps then system is performing the Top Down distribution for 100 USD of cash discount on the PC 1000, X1, Y1 Characteristics and it is not considering other characteristics. My observation in this case is, Journal entry related Profit center is getting distributed to the relevant Profit center of Sales revenue related COPA characteristics.
I am hoping some one can give a guidance on this issue. Please note, I would not be able to post without a Profit center in the JV as we have a default Profit center and DOcument splitting as active.
