I'm curious if there is a way to link a Remanufacturing Order to a Sales Order? The objective is to determine profitability of a sale after remanufacturing has been completed post operations. We typically have multiple maintenance orders per sales document. I want the maintenance orders to be tagged with the sales document number and I'd be able to run a report to see how much the total cost of the maintenance would be for a given sales document. I'm using IW31/32 to generate these orders with a YM01 order type.
I saw there is a control on the service section under the HeaderData that has a place for a sales document and item number:
Does anyone have any knowledge on what this does and how it works? It looks like it cannot be tied to a YKBN line due to costing settings for that item category? Or any other suggestions to achieve this cost traceability?
