DSO Activation and Job RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS

Hi,

Can someone tell me what this "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS" job is? I believe it to be SID Generation? I have a sizeable DSO with many fields (about 40) and 9 mill records to load from GLPCA and when I review the activation log there are many, many job log entries for this "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS" job. I'm guessing 1 for each SID Value. There is also a time of anywhere from 6 seconds to over a minute between the jobs being scheduled and each job takes some time to run. If each of these jobs takes anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute with say 50 fields and 9 mill records that is going to a really long time.

So basically I'm looking for some information (details) on RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS. Does it execute for every record and characteristic? Does it not execute if a sid value already exists?

Also, i did not do anything with InfoObject Buffering for this 9 million load. Should I cancel it?

Thanks for any details.

HI Kenneth,

as Vikram already said RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS is generic program for a lot of warehousing activities (BW-WHM). E.g. executing data loads, activation DSOs, etc...

It seems that you are activating your DSO in parallel mode.

Try to check customizing settings for DSO activation, for all DSO and for this specific one.

Hi

RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS is a program ( Execute Batch Proess ),which I think is used for executing release batch jobs and with all kind of Process type supported.

As for as you DSO activation and some general settings please see below two threads.
