close of project

Dear All

Is it possible to close the project without making revenue settlement. If it is possible how to do Please explain in detail.

I get the below error msg while trying to close the project.

Balance of WBS xxxxxxxxxxxx- is not zero

Message no. KO505

Are you running RA? If you are running RA, then you must have to settle it.

Otherwise, as suggested by Virendra, you can change your settlement profile & close the project.

Even if you are running RA you can have settlement rule "can be"

The settlement incase of RA would then only do the financial posting and not anything to PSG

As the error is balance of WBS is not zero - it means that settlement has been set mandatory, this needs to be removed

I have small query on this. Revenu settlement is can be set that is ok.

But what about the actual cost posted against the WBS ? and any commitments ?

System will still allow for that also ?

if you mean allow the actual costs not to be settled if settlement is set to "can be" then answer to your question is - yes.

Hi Pradeep,

if still you have open PR or PO(Commitements) then you cant close the project.

For actual costs without settlement also you can close the project as explained by Virender.
