To Reove / Reverse Assets

Dear All exprts,

I want to remove my asset which was created using tcode as91. It has Transacion type 100 i.e External Asset acquisiton.

Also depreciation value is there. It's not posted to GL a/c. Now i want to reverse / remove this assets.

How to do it. i had tried with tcode AS06 , AB08, AIST but could not do it.

pl give me some solution as it is very urget for my business transaction.

Dear,

Since asset has recieved posting so it will not be able to be deleted using AS06. You can use transaction ABZU to reduce the depreciation posted and ABNAN to reduce value of the asset.

Now , I tried ABZU, it's giving error message,

You cannot post write-ups

Message no. AA400

Diagnosis

According to the transaction type, you have to post to area 01. However,

in this area, there is either no accumulated depreciation or the

write-up depreciation type(s) are not managed in this area.

Procedure

Check the transaction type.

Where to check transaction type and what to do..

Also tried ABNAN, here it gives error message ,

The date entered is not in a closed fiscal year, Message no. AA566

I Have given Document date 31.03.2009, Posting date 31.03.2009 and Orig. value date 27.06.2008 and Amount Posted.

My current month / year is dec,2009 and also not closed previous year i.e from april 2008 onwards all months are open.

What can be the reason.

pl help me as early as possible.

Hi Swati,

From the information you have given I would like to point out that in case of ABNAN the year in posting date & year in original value date has to same. You may try this since you have FY 2008-2009 open in the system.

As for ABZU please have a good look th at transaction type there might be some types meant for retirement and/or abandonment which can be used in this case, do check in the system.

Chintan, As per your suggestion i had tried with all three date by taking same date i.e 27.06.2009,

still giving same message.

In ABZU, if i change TTY to 100 it accept and can create document.

If i got solution for tcode ABNAN then my problem probably solved.

I tried by giving Posting date and Orig. Vaue Date same i.e i had given 27.06.2008, but still giving same error Message.

"The date entered is not in a closed fiscal year , Message No. AA566"

What can be the problem ?

Hi Swati,

Since the error has continued, please check if the financial years for asset module have been closed or not. To close FY in asset module t-cpde is AJRW. If the year in AM is changed then please refer to t-code OAAR or OAAQ.

FY is changed/closed in two ways - 1) For a company code 2) For Asset module.

Please check this. Hope this helps.

Do you mean , before reverse this doument , Asset F.Y has to be closed ?

This document which i want to reverse of F.Y 2008-2009.

We have not closed FI F.Y 2008 -2009 and currently 2009-2010 is also open.

I mean that if the documeent you want to reverse is in FY 2008-2009 then please check if that year is open aseet module, in addition to the year being open in FI. This might help.

Hi Sameer,

Yes, I want to reverse Document in FY 2008-2009. F.Y 2008-2009 is open for Assets and FI both .

Is there any other tocde to reverse this type of asset.
