How to avoid reset counter in CC after CCM update proces?

Hello,

Scenario: CRM + CC + ERP(FI-CA). Aka BRIM.

Performing SAP standard change proces for CCM update in CRM resets counter values in CC.

Does anybody know how to avoid reset counter values after performing CCM update process in CRM?

The best would be that old value of counter is copied(or kept) to new chargeplan within the same contract. Name of counter is the same.

Thanks

Rafal

Hi Eric,

In BRIM installation I understand that Sharing Counters are defined in CRM in SPRO using Counter Namespaces (Define Product Settings for Counter Sharing). Thanks this, counters seen on a contracts item(charge plan) in CC, will have status "Shared Within Contract". And such counters will be "shared" between old and next version of chargeplan assigned to the same contract. So after CCM update values are "copied" using the name of counters automatically.

The most important is that counter names are the same and namespaces are the same in old and new chargeplans.

Am I right?

best regards

Hello Rafal,

You can share a counter between several contract items (linked to different charge plans) by using shared counter. Please check the following link:

https://help.sap.com/doc/d847860d561a47568a936d5f3cbeb9da/5.0/en-US/core_tool/Provider_contracts/Wor...

Of course it means that your initial charge plan uses shared counters to be able to re-use the counters in the new charge plan.

Best regards,

Eric Fremont
