different types of Transport in PI

Hi ALL,

we are working on a fresh implimentation project now on PI 7.1.

i have worked on projects using file transport ..can any one tell me which is the best way of transport in PI 7.1.

diffenrence between FIle ..CMS...CTS ..and its advantages ..

and how to do ..if any blogs ..?

Adding to the above using CTS+ we ca ntrack the transports raised for the same ..which cannot be using File Transport....

Also we can easily associate the replacement of the business systems in the SLD...

for e.g. if BusinessSystem_D is used in D environment which needs to replaced with BusinessSystem_Q inthe Q this can done in SLD itself....

check for documentation for more info and advantages of the same...

CTS+ is the advantage, which has both ABAP & JAVA based transports. Where we can create a one transport number for both.

Recommended is CTS+ ...... for rest of the details may be you can search SDN ......blogs/ documents are easily available providing advantages (and also configuration) of CTS+ over others.

This gives info on CMS and CTS. I would not suggest File unless there are constraints to implement the former two options simply because it's more manual and error prone.
