Limit the previous periods in the ESS Record working time portal.

I have a requirement that in the ESS portal, the user can navigate to previous periods up to 6months back but now my requirement is I have to limit that navigation of previous period only to 2 months back. For this, I have made changes in the config, so I achieved the requirement. But the thing is this change should not affect in the CAT2 transaction (where we can fill timesheet here also). I mean the user should able to navigate to previous periods up to 6months back in the CAT2 transaction.

Please Suggest me how can i achieve this
