Hello all,
We're trying to synchronize between Aris Business Architect for SAP 7.1 and Solution Manager.
What we've done so far:
- the connection between the system is made
- transfer project to Aris was succesful
- we've copied (occurance copy) the function with attribute SAP function type scenario in the empty VACD diagram that was created after the transfer of the project
- the copied function has a scenario connected to it. To that scenario a process is connected. In the process all functions are of type 'process step'.
The when right clicking on the function in the VACD diagram that was created after the transfer of the project and clicking on 'synchronization' (after clicking trough the dialog boxes) the following error occurs:
"Unable to start SAP synchronization for this function. Please make sure that a valid SAP ID is maintained for the function."
What we don't understand is that it should have a SAP ID, since it is information we want to newly transfer to Solution Manager, so it's logical that it doesn't have an idea yet?
Thank you for your help.
Willem Janssen
Hi Janssen
To avoid this error please sync the entire project back to solution manager once. When u do that sap ids will will be created for all objects and then in the future you can sync individual scenarios if you want. You need to right click on the project object in order to sync the entire project.... Let me know if you need help with that
