Long string truncated on export to CSV

Former Member

Using CR11.

I'm aware there's a string length limit of 65534 characters within CR, but I'm finding that when I export the report to CSV, long strings are getting truncated to approximately 32762 characters.

Is this expected behavior? Is there any way around this? Seems odd that the report allows a string of 65534 characters, but it get truncated on export.

Thanks!

Hi Eric,

Are you opening the CSV in Excel? Excel has a limit of 32767 characters in a cell.

If you open the CSV in a Text Editor like Notepad++ you should be able to see the entire string.

Have a look at this thread.

I double checked the version. It's 11.5.8.826.

I am using Notepad++. I've tried exporting the data a number of different ways, and it always gets truncated.

Nope, I'm opening the file in Notepad++. The string is truncated in the exported text file.
