Hi,
I want to know what is the process of importing DC.
Please guide me whether these steps are correct:-
1. Go to Development Configuration Perspective
2. Right click --> Import Configuration --> remote
3. Select configuration --> DEV version
-- Configuration is imported into NWDS ---
-- Now we can see two sections Active DCs and Inactive DCs --
4. Go to Active DCs --> Select DC --> create project (??)
5. Go to Inactive DCs --> Select DC --> Sync sources (??)
6. Go to respective DC perspective --> modify the source file (create activity)
I am confused in steps 4 & 5!! I dont know how this has to be done?
Is it -->
4. Go to Inactive DCs --> Select DC --> create project (??)
5. Go to Active DCs --> Select DC --> Sync sources (??)
Please help me with this.
Thanks and regards,
Amey Mogare
Hi Amey Mogare
>4. Go to Inactive DCs --> Select DC --> create project (??)

Create Project operation includes also Sync Sources operation. You can sync sources without creation a project, but you cannot create a project without syncing sources. You need to create a project in order to work fully functional with the DC in NWDS.
If you plan to modify sources go to Inactive DCs. If you need the latest valid sources and you are not going to modify them go to Active DCs.

Hello Amey
DC those are activated resides in Active DC and DC which are not activated but checked In resides in InActive DCs.
You can directly create project from inActive DCs.
To create a project:
1) Select Inactive DCs tab in Development Configuration perspective.
2) Select the dev version of configuration and expand it.
3) Select the SC and expand it.
4) Right Click on the the DC that you want to created and click Create Project
5) Similary you can Sync the project
Follow sae step for the Active DCs.
Hope it helps.
