Hi Gurus,
There is a requirement from client for an indicator or icon which can be displayed in in custom report similar to IW37N which indicates that there are one or more attachment(s) attached as "services for object".
Because In real time there are many work orders, it is really difficult to know which order contains documents and which are not. We have to open each and every work order to check attachments. How can we achieve this custom report? Which enhancement to be used? Please help..
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Shiva
We do this - please see SAP Note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1851646 which gives you an indicator if the attachment exists. But if you want to report on it, please see this blog https://blogs.sap.com/2013/05/23/the-gos-generic-object-services-class-that-does-all-the-work/ which lists function modules

Hi
Are you using DMS(Document Management System) in SAP? if so, you can have the custom report just to put a check box activation where ever the maintenance order having attachments.
Also please refer notes on Document storage : 530792,927407, 904711 etc. So that you can get an idea about document storage.
Before you get in to the report, you have to understand the document storage functionality in your system. Is it internal or external?
based on that you can retrieve the docs with status as attachment exists.
