Limit the possible values for PR document type

Hi,

In ME51N transaction for the document type field we want only customized doc types (ZNB and ZSER) to be displayed in the dropdown list.No standard doc types to be displayed in the dropdown.

And we dont want to delete the standard document types from the database.

Can anybody help me in restricing the values shown dropdown list please.

I doubt if this is possible unless the standard document types are deletd which is not recommended.

Hello

Option-1 Create Z transaction code through SHD0 (Transaction varient) and select only those documents type which you would like to give in this and then assing this Z Tcode to user and revoke standard ME51N

Option-2 - Ask BASIS people to remove the authorization of this document type from the users profile.

The Auth.Object is :M_BANF_BSA

Option-3 - Close the number range of the document type which you would nol like to allow.

Ex -For NB Document type the last number of PR in the system is 50000100 so

Enter this number in document type in "TO" area so when user will create new pr for document type

NB there will be error message for number not availeble and no pr will be generated.

As I think option 2 is convinent to get help from basis people.
