Goods Movement Error in Confirming order

Dear Friend

We have casting material X and machining material Y. When we confirm prd order of Y thru co11n, 101 GM happens to Y & 261 happens to X. Now in MMBE we have 3000 X exists in casting SL. But when we are confirming 2000 units of Y , on 31.12.2009, we are getting deficit of material X from casting location.

In bom, for 1 unit of Y confirmation, 1 unit of X consumed.

Pls let me know how to confirm Y for 2261?

Hi,

Check following

1 Storage location of casting in production order

2. Unrestricted stock in MMBE (No sales order stock ) if you using MTS.

3. Casting qunatity in production order

Also check in Goods movement tab of CO11N you much casting it is demanding and from which location

I have checked all the points u have mentioned. They are all ok. We have not opened perd for jan, 2010 from ob52. But we have opened MM PD from mmpv. But for mm period 1 month back entry is possible.

During confirmation of Y I am getting the following error

Deficit of SL Unrestr. prev. 2,248 EA : 57024002 RILH HCST

Message no. M7021

Diagnosis

Shortfall below the specified stock level or quantity amounting to 2,248 EA.

System Response

If the message is an error message (E), the above is not allowed.

If the message is a warning message (W), the system will allow your input, but the warning is intended to prevent you entering a wrong quantity.

Procedure

In the case of a warning message, check the quantity entered.

In the case of an error message, change the quantity or terminate processing.

Note:

The abbreviations in the short text of this message can have the following values:

BA = batch

OR = order

PL = plant

PR = previous period

PU = purchasing document

RE = reservation

SL = storage location

VC = consignment stock from vendor in storage location

Pls tell be how to save confirmation on 31.12.2009

Dear Chandra,

1) in MMBE, check the Stock & Reserved qty

2) Might be already reservations exists for another Prd orders which are created previously created

and Confirmation might not took place

3) Plz check in CO02, whether material availability check has taken place or not, if all materials available

then the Status must be MACM

4) also check in CO24, for missing parts

5) finally check in MB5B, for exact Stock by giving date.

Hi,

Do X material is batch managed. May be that 3000 qty might be in different batches.

Make sure that casting stock is not tagged with any sales order.

I found some reservations against this component. I deleted them from MD04. We have a make to stock production process . Thus reservations for one order etc does not affect material availability for other order confirmation.

Then this material is not also batch managed

Pls let me know why I am getting Goods Movement Error& how I can confirm prd order for Y and consuption will take place for X?
